RICKY MYERS

CHEF DE CUISINE
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Ricky has spread his love of home-cooked comfort food across the country and even in Europe! After studying at the Culinary School at the Art Institute of Denver—where he cooked alongside Chef Sean Yontz—Ricky earned his gourmet chops at some of the finest kitchens of the high country–the Wigwam Club, Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, and Next Door Food & Drink in Loveland. He joined the Jax family in 2014 as Chef de Cuisine of Jax Fish House in Fort Collins, and in 2017 he took the reigns of Jax Glendale.

BETSY SHIELDS

GENERAL MANAGER

Betsy has always loved great food – she got her first subscription to Bon Appetit when she was 10 years old! She got hooked on the high energy of the restaurant business while earning a BA from the University of Michigan, and worked her way up the ranks of Euclid Hall, Los Chingones, and North before joining the crew here at Jax.

In her spare time she loves fixing up old houses, hanging out with her family, cheering on her two favorite baseball teams: the Colorado Rockies and the Detroit Tigers, and indulging in some sushi and Diet Mountain Dew.

JIMMY ZANON

BAR MANAGER

The creator of some damn fine cocktails, and perfecter of some classics too, barman Jimmy Zanon is equally renowned for his affability, humility, and easy-going attitude. He founded the now world-famous tequila-based bar syllabus at Lola Mexican Fish House and joined the stellar crew at Jax Glendale when they opened their doors in 2013.  He is certified as a 1st Level Court of Masters Sommelier and a Cicerone Beer Server as well as BarSmarts certified and a card carrying member of the Colorado Bartenders Guild.

When he’s not slinging unreal drinks behind the bar at Jax, Jimmy enjoys adventures in the outdoors with his family and volunteering his time and skills to charity events organized by Big Red F.
